Password Recovery
If you've forgotten your password or need to reset it for security reasons, LabMan2 provides a secure password recovery process. This guide will walk you through the steps to reset your password and regain access to your account.
When to Use Password Recovery
- You've forgotten your password
- You're unable to log in with your current password
- You suspect your password may have been compromised
- You want to change your password for security reasons
Password Reset Process
Navigate to the Login Page
Go to the LabMan2 login page at https://yourlab.example.com/labman/login
Request a New Password
On the login page, look for and click the "Request a new password" link. This will take you to the password reset request page.
Note: The exact wording may vary, but the link is typically located below the login form.
Enter Your Email Address
On the password reset request page:
- Enter the email address associated with your LabMan2 account
- Click the "Email password reset link" button
Important: You must use the email address that's registered with your LabMan2 account. If you're unsure which email address is associated with your account, contact your system administrator.
Check Your Email
After submitting your email address, the system will send you a password reset link. Check your email inbox for a message from LabMan2.
Tip: If you don't see the email within a few minutes:
- Check your spam or junk mail folder
- Verify you entered the correct email address
- Wait a few more minutes, as email delivery can sometimes be delayed
Click the Reset Link
Open the password reset email and click on the password reset link provided. This link will take you to a secure page where you can create a new password.
Security Note: The reset link is valid for a limited time (typically 60 minutes). If the link expires, you'll need to request a new one.
Create a New Password
On the password reset page, you'll be asked to:
- Enter your email address again (for verification)
- Create a new password
- Confirm your new password by entering it again
- Click the "Reset password" button
Success! Once you've reset your password, you'll be redirected to the login page where you can sign in with your new credentials.
Password Requirements
When creating a new password, ensure it meets the following requirements:

- Mixed case: Contains both uppercase and lowercase letters
- Secure: Not previously compromised in known data breaches
Best Practice: Create a strong password that includes:
- A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
